LNA on short run of coax

While tidying up the loft it seemed like a good opportunity to trim the excess coax, replacing the 10meter 3DFB 0550M coax with 3 meters of hyperflex10. A question I had was, can the uputronics LNA be placed on the end of the hyperflex for a short run of cable?

Cheers.

Edit: I probably should have clarified by mentioning antenna then 3m coax then LNA. However it seems like it’s so short to make minimal difference.

3 metres of that cable will have a loss of about 0.5dB at 1090MHz.
I very much doubt that you will really notice a degradation of 0.5dB in your noise figure in your overall results. So yes, if it makes things easier for you, then move the LNA but if you want that 0.5dB advantage then leave it where it is.

Cheers. Making it the right length means I no longer have a coil of excess cable resting on the suitcases and forgotten toys.
