Why does some flight logs – skip minutes?

Example:

Or some radar sites were down at that time of day.

Could it be because it was below radar coverage as it happened during the climb and descent in the example provided?

Seems like during cruise there were no gaps?

Or going to or from an approach controller during the climbs and descent?
