Is there away to limit the range on the aircraft received?

Reason I ask is I will see aircraft that put out bad data and it shows them thousands of
miles away. It is not all aircraft just seems to be a select few.

Mark,

If you are running the mutability version of dump1090, there is an option to suppress these erroneous tracks. This is done in the initial setup of the software and you can choose the range limit. In my case, I have it set to 300 NM. I am not sure if this is an option on the standard dump1090 software.
