Landing at HPN on 12/26 in the late afternoon

There is a Winter Storm forecast for the northeast on 12/26-12/27. I am scheduled to arrive at HPN at around 3PM-4PM EDT. I believe that HPN doesn’t support CAT II or CAT III landings. I am being told that the snow is supposed to start around sunset (roughly 4:30PM). Can anyone give me a sense for whether a CAT I landing would be possible for an Airbus 320 at that time? Trying to avoid getting on a flight that I know will be diverted to JFK.

Many thanks and Happy Holidays!

The current forecast has snow arriving about 5PM EST on the 26th and finishing about 7AM EST on the 27th. If you are not delayed, you should be fine arriving around 3:30PM EST on either day.

It looks like HPN has a Cat 1/2 approach.

It also has RNAV approaches

Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time. I did once have a flight that was diverted to JFK from HPN due to low ceiling and the flight crew claimed that HPN didn’t have the technology to land in a low ceiling.
