Kool airport website to find local or any airports . . .

I’ve click on it a few times and didn’t really realize what it offered . . .

http://www.ourairports.com/

In my case I live near Toronto - so I enter Toronto and get click here

Then the map on the right ‘Bigger Map’ under the map.

Then I can click on any airport, find a satellite map, and pilot and visitor comments, as well as aviation info on the airport.

Over 42,000 airports.

I’ve seen the map used on a few sites to map all the airports people have visited - but never really checked out the site. Often I’ll google a city to attempt to find airports - especially overseas - this makes it simple.

Thanks Rob!

Lots of good pilot information too!

Here’s another one full of historical, closed airports.

John in Saudi

It sure does miss a lot of airports in my part of the counry.

I like the mapping feature, but i think other websites (airnav and skyvector come to mind) have a better organized airport/runway information format.

it seems to me that it only gives info and des. on the surfaced based Echo airport. But the map show them all in my area
