Investigations are underway after a fire broke out in the cockpit of a Qantas plane, forcing it to land at Cairns in far north Queensland.
Qantas says an electrical fault caused the fire on a flight from the Philippines to Sydney early yesterday morning.
The pilots extinguished the fire and the plane landed in Cairns about 50 minutes later.
Qantas and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau are investigating the incident.
