Jet Stream flow these days

**I was noticing how weird (to me) the jet stream is these days. It starts in Southern California, goes out over Western Nebraska and then back over Oregon and Washington state…anybody else notice this? Is this at least unusual, if not unique?

Yeah…also unusual were the tornados at KRIV the other day, to go along with snow in the mountains outside San Diego…
KRIV may have had the busiest set of METAR’s I have ever seen from there…

The Pacific High Pressure System usually sets up around this time of year and pushes the jet stream north for the summer, but it is not unusual to see it break down a few times in the spring like this allowing the jet stream to move south another time or two before summer. Tornadoes in SoCal, however, are not so common.
