Information

Where can I find reference material to find a certian commuter aircraft used by Piedmont or Southwest Airlines probably in the last 20 years. It was a twin engine high wing aircraft, real boxy looking. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry for the dumb questions.

I found out which plane it is, Dornier 228, thanks anyway guys.

High wing and boxy? That’s the very definition of a Shorts SC7 Skyvan commuter!

There was also the streched version the Shorts 330

Not a dumb question.

However, I’m not sure it would have been a DO228. Piedmont (actually operated by a commuter carrier such as Henson) had Shorts 330 and Shorts 360 aircraft, looking similar to the Skyvan posted above. Southwest has never had any commuter aircraft.

Thanks guys, you are correct about the plane. I guess I jumped the gun on the type of aircraft I was looking for. Appreciate the information.
