Had the urge to set up all my ADSB gear again to dable in the skies. But OMG, spent days of frustration and too many possible links via Google, of tryinjg to find current scrips that work. 3 equipment availabilties, Radarcape, Odroid N2’s and the Raspberry pi’s.
Now Radarcape up and running. Raspberry pi’s up but not necessarily working properly at this time. Odroid N2’s scripts spinning me out!!!
Whilst the Odroids seem to be working, for the life of me, finding the millions of possiblities now available throgh the WWW, of “workimg” (cough cough) of set up scripts of the odroid aggggggg!!
Without going into specifics, getting the odroid working, although should be fairly simple and to use their robustness, is the priority now. So if someone can kndly point me to a working ADSB script to connect to Flightaware, for an Odroid N2+, would be greatly appreciated :).
Good to be back BUT our great WWW search options throw up everything on a search and trying to find out if the data is say within the last 12 months or if your looking at something 12 year old.
Well a couple of days later, I have my Rasperry PI’s sorted, now working on the Odroid N2+. One thing I will say, WWW google is so handy now days BUT when you have a million different hits for installing ADSB onto an Odroid N2+, it is so frustrating when you find a link that looks like it has what you need but eventually during the install, it gets to a part where it is looking for a package or service etc, it errors out because that particular part of the install is now no longer. And the major annoyance is the message “unable to locate package piaware” !!!
So, if someone can point me to the best current download for ADSB for an Odroid N2+, piaware and flightaware, that would save my fingers tapping away to hits that dont work anymore.
