I can't update my exact receiver location on flight aware web page

I have been running a successful uploader to fr24, and yesterday I upgraded dump1090-mutability to dump1090-fa.

I also registered my feeder with flight aware. However, although my data is uploading to the flightaware site, I can not edit my receiver location. An approximate value is loaded, but nothing like accurate enough. The system itself came up with the location, not me.

I attempted many times to manually enter the correct location in the settings menu, but I get a java script error warning at the bottom of the page as shown here: javascript:void(0).

I wondered about pop up restrictions, is java enabled and I tried to do the same task in an incognito window and with extensions disabled. Still the same problem.

Can anyone advise how to enter correct location please?

Hi,

Looking at your account the location is already user entered so not estimated by the system anymore.

underneath the steps to set your location:

Login to your account and go to your statistics page.

Then click in the gear icon on the right side of the page:

On the site configuration page you can then set the location and the antenna height of your system.

You can then select the location on the map or put in the exact coordinates (if you know them)

Once done press submit to update the location.

Height can be set in meters of feet. Once done press sumit to store it in the configuration file

Thanks for the assistance.

I changed web browser from Chrome to Firefox and the page worked properly. I think there is some settings issue maybe in my chome browser to do with websites opening pop up type pages.

Sorted now - although the window ought to have shown a map and it didn’t. I do know the site’s exact latitude and longitude and so I was able to move the cursor about until it was correct and set that.
