How to make a self spawning network when there is no wifi

In a few days, I’m going on holiday soon so I need a quick response.

I need PiAware to create its own network when there is no WiFI in the surrounding area. I need this so during the flight I can see the live feed of where the plane is and I’ll also have my hackrf listening to the pilot up in the cockpit talking to ATC. I done this on other flights but without pi aware.

My question is can piaware make its own network so I can connect to it mid air. Doesn’t need any security or anything I just need a self spawning network if there is no WiFI

I already found something.

It’s a script which check if your connected (with cron) to your home wifi router and so if its not it will create a AP which you can access easily. Your just have to do some changes

Turn on your phone hotspot.

Use the same SSID and password as the network your Pi normally connects.

Turn on Pi so it connects to hotspot.

Browse from your phone to the Pi as usual or fire up a tablet or laptop and browse to Skyaware via your phone.

It really is that simple.
