How does Flight Aware compute average number of daily ops?

Can somebody tell me how flightaware arrives at their daily ops total for a specifc airport, and how often that figure is updated?

They come from the FAA and are updated infrequently.

Just a guess but…to get the average they take the total number of flights for a given time period and then divide that number by the number of days in that given time period? :stuck_out_tongue:
