Highest number of aircraft at any one time tracked?

I have been watching FlightAware for a long time now. The highest number of aircraft I have seen was 6,150. It happened about 130 PM Eastern Standard time. What is the largest number FlightAware has ever tracked?

My apologies for posting an incorrect number. The highest number of aircraft in the air at the same time FlightAware has record of is approximately 5,540.

I’m pretty sure we’ve tracked >6k simultaneously, but I can’t think of an easy way to find the stats.
