No Hurricanes registered in the US, possible a Sea Fury. There are two in Texas.

Thanks… I looked at some more pics of the Sea Fury, and the tail matched what I saw… Another picture I looked at before had a weird view and the vert stab threw me off. Cool, thanks.

Not airworthy at the moment, under restoration.

Aiworthy at Paine Field Wa.
Thanks.
Be cool to have another hurricane flying…
There are at least 3 airworthy here in the states and another 5 or 6 being restored to airworthy condition.
But those are the Canadian Can er Car versions…which I had never heard of. I used the same website but only checked for Hawker Hurricane. Learned something new today, now I can go to bed happy.
There is one Hawker built Hurricane here in the states under restoration to airworthy.
The Candian built Hurricanes are still Hurricanes. Same plans, different factory.
That is like saying that the Eastern Aircraft (General Motors) built FM-2 Wildcats are not really Wildcats if there were not built by Grumman.
I know, just ribbing the Can Car reference. I had just never heard of the second factory hence my search was for Hawker>Hurricane. Had I just searched for Hurricane I would have found them.
