Cessna Citation Mustang with an aerial refueling probe. I tried to get a photo of it last week but was too slow. Waiting for it to return to KFSD. Can anyone tell me why the refueling probe?
Are you sure it was an aerial refueling probe and not just a flight test pitot static sensor?
That’s what I was thinking it was. However, I couldn’t locate a picture to ask if that’s what the original poster saw.
What makes you so positive it was a fuel probe, do you have a background in gas passing?
It might have been a test-bed aircraft carrying test instrumentation such as a Kiel probe or other airflow measuring apparatus.
