Hello everyone (hoping it’s allowed here),
as you might have noticed, i am not active any longer as feeder for different reasons.
I have now decided parts of my used hardware and before it goes to one of the selling plattforms i would like to give one (or two) of you the opportunity to get one of them.
- 1 Airspy mini bundled with an Uputronics 1090MHz saw filtered preamp
- 1 blue Flightaware stick bundled with a dark blue 1090Mhz Filter (Original Flightaware)
If anyone is interested in both or one of them, please send me a short note. I will not sell it in parts (e.g. the airspy only). Only in the listed combinations.
I will keep that offer open for a week before it goes to a different plattform.
Cheers Uwe

No, thank you for the items, the collection is extended once more
Sorry to see you go away.
Time goes by. I am retired now since a few weeks and our focus is currently changing. No more space for feeding.
Thanks for the time here, I started with no idea what i was doing to lots of information helping me understanding many things better.
I am sure my hardware will find a very good place in the Netherlands soon

Yes, retirement is a big change. It takes some time, may be a year or two, to get adjust to the new way of life. Once adjusted, hopefully you will be tempted to restart your abandoned hobby.
You have to have plans and these should be settled before you retire. Otherwise you have a big dark hole where you trap into.
I had a good job where the transition was going very smooth.
We are good to go. Planning a life on the road enjoying Europe 365 days a year.
Thought about having a feeder in the RV, but given up that idea.

With constantly changing location, you would have an excuse for having GPS. Course, I guess there’s the matter of having a 1090 MHz antenna on an RV (and also probably a GPS antenna).
You could use the antenna inside, it depends on the surface of the RV. Some are glass-fiber reinforced plastic, that won’t be a problem. But others are having an aluminium skin, then reception can be degraded. GPS would work all the time.
However you need power and internet on 24/7 which we do not want.
Apart from that our priorities have changed, and feeding captured flights is not one of them
