I heard a very loud jet from CLE. FlightAware identified it as GHOST1, “positions only”. I wonder what sort of aircraft.

Those would have been good to see visually. They have a nice 250 paint job.
It was a flight of at least two NASA (commercial registration) Northrop F-5 fighters. GHOST1 was flight lead and the only one with a transponder on, but the second one tested the transponder on taxi out, then probably went standby for the formation.
