Stupid freaking debugging error…I GIVE UP!
As my girlfriend would say, Crandall is a dumb nuts. Reregulating the industry will not make it better. What is needed is better management of the industry. Look at Southwest: they are doing good and that’s because it has good management.
His statement about “various state efforts to deregulate electricity rates” doesn’t hold up, at least here in California. While the Public Utilities Commission called it deregulation, it really wasn’t.
I say let the industry play out. There will be winners and there will be losers. Re-regulation is not the way to go.
