I need you guys to update my flightaware box please
still locks up and i have to unplug it in the moring to restart it
I gave up resetting it every morning. I’m a pilot, I usually dont stay at home, and my wife started to complain when I asked her to reset the box every morning.
Then, the box will be offline until FA provides a solution.
I’m just beside of Congonhas Airport (SBSP), the busiest airport of Latin America, my receptor can receive all traffics on ground, and you are losing these (I think) worthy data.
Please let me know when a solution has been provided, then I will put it back online, so you can update the software.
If you give me permission, I would install a dump1090 or something like that on my Flightfeeder (on another SD card) to continue sending data to FA.

It was reseted today, after many days offline because I was not at home.
I’m gonna check tomorrow if everything is OK.

Let me monitor mine too by removing the 24hr timer which I make it off and on for 5 mins daily after midnight to temporarily resolve the midnight issue. Will update the team on status. BTW, mine is #1189.

Looks like the midnight bug which a number of us are facing seems rectified thru your software patch which you could have sent to out ADS-B online. So far after I have removed my manual 24hr timer which switch it off and on around midnight for 5 mins, for 2 days in a row left it permanently 24hrs ON, did not see any issues of not online. No more need to shutdown the system.
Congratulations on rectifying the midnight shutdown bug.

Waiting for my feeder to be rectified, after the update is was tracking planes for about two days, then suddenly died.
My flightfeeder stopped working last night. I had to reset it thru the power chord. It´s not freezing daily (or twice a day, as before), but it’s still not stable.

The receiver is frozen. I’ve received an email that my FlightFeeder is not sending data. You can try to check it now. I wont reset it until you ask me for it.

So far mine after it is upgraded to version 5.8, no more issues 24/7 and has been already 2 weeks. Good Work.

I received my feeder today and my excitement knew no bounds. However, after setting it up, it does nothing - i cant even access the internal management portal on port 8080. Does not send data, nothing on planeplotter either. Im on 5.9

The same problem for me. I realized that the 5.9 firmware doesnt start the fadump1090 service automatically.
Lucky that my FF has the default raspberry pi password, so I could set it up correctly via ssh.
Can you SSH to FF? I am unable to do so.
My ff is acting strange since a few hours.
-my feed to fa only works for a few minutes
-virtual radar server sometimes gets 100 aircraft (one position), then a few minutes nothing, then 25 aircraft etc.
-its own web interface does not work.
-port 30002 sends out 1 message every few minutes
luckily the reboot button does work 
i see others have version 5.9, is it normal that mine is still 5.5?
could someone look into this?

edit: strange that the ff seems to depend on fa’s website. website was slow and my ff stopped working…?? ff acts normal again, forum loads a lot faster now and no down messages any more.
or were the flightfeeders ddossing the site? LOL
Version 5.5 of the software is the latest version for the acrylic case version of the FlightFeeder.
Version 5.9 of the software is the latest version for the metal case version of the FlightFeeder.
Since the metal cases are using a different receiver if you install the version 5.9 of the software on an acrylic case it needs to be slightly modified to work with the older receiver.
