FlightAware site on the go with Raspberry Pi

Hello,

I have a question about having a site for on the go. If i take a Raspberry Pi and put it in a vehicle and let it run while driving, would that be ok?

I would disable MLAT. The area’s i would be going would still be near the airport i have set on my stat page.

You would need a data uplink somehow. A cellular modem would work, or you could run dump1090 without it reporting to flightaware.

Yea i have that. I have a 20Gb hotspot a month. I just want to see if it would be ok and it wouldn’t mess with anything, because the “site” would be moving while driving. Thanks.

Sure, that is fine. Your stats will be off for obvious reasons but there’s no problem with feeding non-mlat data while on the move.

Thanks Obj. Thats awesome, i have a hotspot that i dont use very much and i do a lot of driving around in my area. That that will work.
