Flightaware R Pi doesn't work

I changed the password on my wifi so I needed to uupdate the password on the Config page. After many attempts it still does not work. I did a refresh of the image. Still no go. Any ideas?

in order to guide you we would need some additional information:

What version of OS are you running ? I suspect bookworm since you are using the SD card 10.2 image.

If so check this post by abcd567. It could be you need to activate the WLAN inside the PI (you will need a wired connection to do that).

Wrote Piaware SD card image 10.2 to microSD card, slipped into Pi Model 4, and powered up.
My WiFi SSID and Password both do NOT have any special character.
Have double checked after typing and saving in file piaware-config.txt. Both are correct. Still Pi did not connect on WiFi, does not show on the router.

Finally connected Pi to router by wire.
Checked IP a, found WiFi is down (wlan0 NO-CARRIER)

Had to activate WiFi connection using NetworkManager’s utility nmtui

sudo nmtui

After this activation, WiFi started working OK.

Thanks. I’m in the process of snaking a cable to it right now.

I have the Pi hooked up to ethernet directly. I ping the IP and it sasys “destination host unreachable” and there is no log data being sent.

I would recommend to recreate the image. There can be a multitude of reasons for that and troubleshooting that could take a lot of time and effort. The recreation is the fastest way to get up and running. If availble use a spare or preferrably a new SD card for that.

I’ve done tthat but will try a new card.
