It seems that many private flights go to or start from “LIMS”, an airport in Portugal, except that they really don’t. My guess is that LIMS is an ATC shorthand for a limit clearance that gets an IFR flight to a point where they can cancel. Does this sound about right?
Welcome Brucer!
I don’t see any flights arriving or departing from Placenza Airport (LIMS).
My friend flies N11114 out of Monterey. There is no way his Bonanza goes to Portugal . . .
It must be a limit clearance, no?
