Found another visibly LC Band Pass Filter on Aliexpress for C$11.28 Choice (no shipping charges).
Has two disadvantages
(1) It is for 10MHz, so useless for ADS-B
(2) All inductors are SMD type instead of wire-wound air-core type.
The wire-wound air-core type have much higher Q than SMD type.
If I remember correctly, Flightaware Blue barrel filter has all its inductors wire-wound air-core type.
I think these cheap filters are worth it. If I could afford, and found out that only a cavity filter would do, I would sure go with a cavity filter.
After all is said and done, it all depends on what one wants to do and/or can afford.
We are living in the golden age of experimentation. I wish all this “junk” was available when I was a teenager.
