okay good to know, weird thing is that I am running servers for some other projects i have and they have never ever failed. I will try with a cable but it is fixed with a reboot of the pi so i doubt it would be a physical problem. My dongel is a Nooelec RTL-SDR, FM+DAB, DVB-T USB Stick Set with RTL2832U & R820T. Great SDR for SDR#, HDSDR, and Other Popular SDR Software Packages!. the light is always running even when the feed goes down.
