FlightAware is a great source of photographs for aviation enthusiasts. Without the quality screening of some photography specific websites, we are given a range of photos that while maybe not the best quality are better than none at all and if we want to, we can rate the images to reward the better ones.
To my disappointment, today when looking up a particular tail number one picture looked off in the thumbnail, I clicked it and sure enough it was an AI generated image, while the colours and scheme were close to the real plane’s, some features like the cowling and windows were completely wrong. A visit to the uploaders page shows almost all of their images are AI.
Is there be a way to report these before the site is overrun with fake images?
