A student pilot from a nearby airport 23 nm outside the FRZ. I would LOVE to hear the specifics of this case.
- How far into the ADIZ did he penetrate?
- How many hours of training did the student have?
- Where was he intending to go?
Every pilot operating within 60nm of the DCA VOR must take and pass the Washington DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) course.
I bet his instructor was thrilled to hear the news…
