From this and other things I’ve read, algae kind of seems promising for a potential fuel replacement.
There is a company out West that is scrubbing carbon dioxide from power plant emissions to grow algae to make bio-diesel. I saw this on the History Channel about a year ago and can’t remember the specifics.
