How are they obtained and can I input/send them to the database from my airport location (non radar)?
Take a look at the Questions/Answers link available at the top of every page in FlightAware for how FlightAware obtains its data. I don’t think you would be able to enter your own data.
This is what I read:
FlightAware compiles, aggregates, and processes data from a variety of sources including FlightAware’s proprietary algorithms providing updated arrival time estimates to offer the most up-to-date and reliable flight tracking data on the Internet with useful and intuitive supporting information.
Just wondering if my input would be helpful.
They (the FlightAware staff) do read the forum so they may answer here. If not, I suggest sending them an email.
