This was at Midway Island.
“Delta flight 1323 from ATL to LAX. Left engine caught fire on takeoff ( think bird flew into engine). Returned to ATL.”
“It’s really fast and the landing is hard. And it’s followed by a sprint away from the plane in the dark. Good times.”
After landing they were put on a 4am flight and a $100 voucher… this would be the later flight but not the problem one.
