Another member (cclambert07) has lifted several of my copyrighted images from another site and posted them on FlightAware – how can I get them removed? ---

I noticed the problem when I tracked N814TB because at the top of the page I saw a thumbnail of a picture I took less than a week ago: [flightaware.com/photos/view/phot … ert07;o=11](http://flightaware.com/photos/view/photo/176456-83fea853527637b601698af97f187652e3126d79;user=cclambert07;o=11) cclambert07 lifted the image from [airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/229805.html](http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/229805.html) cropped out the copyright notice and possibly the EXIF information (which also contains a copyright notice), and re-posted the image here. I’ll be glad to send cclambert07 a bill for the use of my copyrighted works, but you can start by deleting the image above. ---

Not unless he was standing where my own two feet were and took a picture at the exact same moment using identical equipment and camera settings. And since I was the only person on the observation deck at the time, I can pretty much rule out that possibility. ---

I don’t charge provided people ask and receive permission first or keep the copyright notice intact. I’m not sure if you were serious, but if you are, feel free to use the image. I’d be glad to send you a larger, straightened version of the image. ---

I checked the first five pictures in cclambert07’s gallery, and all of them were lifted from Airport-Data and had their copyright notice removed. I’ve notified the owners of the copyright on those images, but I suspect that little – if any – of the content posted by cclambert07 is his to distribute. I have enjoyed posting my images here, but lately I have noticed more individuals are not following the rules. Note mrhelio for one. His recent image post of the F-22 formation can be found on numerous websites including wikipedia. The Flight Aware agreement clearly states, “Do not submit content you do not own (e.g. work belonging to someone else or that you found on the internet).” This image is a U.S. Air Force photo by TSgt Ben Bloker. I hope we can continue to see original images taken from all sorts of photographers. Let’s lose the google images. ---
