# changing RPi

Hi,

I’ve moved my dump1090/piaware from one RPi to another and consequently Flightaware are not receiving updates because my MAC address has changed.

Is there any way to modify the MAC address associated with my account? I can’t see a way to do it (however I’m notoriously dim when it comes down to admin tasks).

I know I could spoof the MAC address of the “new” RPi, but I want to avoid that.

Any advice?

If you claim the new Pi via [flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/claim](https://flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/claim) it should set up a new site for the new Pi automatically.

You do lose history that way though, right? ☹

Possibly using hints on [howtogeek.com/howto/ubuntu/c … on-ubuntu/](http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/ubuntu/change-your-network-card-mac-address-on-ubuntu/) you could make your new RPi use the old MAC address but don’t put them on the same network then. 😃

The old history is not lost. New data will go to the new site.
