Change port 30005 to 30002

I have configured my PI with OGN and dump1090 and found out, that i have to change the port from 30005 to 30002 to get data. This is working fro FR24 and Planefinder.
But i have no idea, how to change the port in piaware.

Any hint?

On port 30002 normally AVR data is offered.

If you are sure there is beast data on 30002, you can use these piaware options:

sudo piaware-config receiver-port 30002
sudo piaware-config receiver-host localhost

Maybe i´m on a wrong way, but this is the log:
[2019-06-12 15:10 CEST] no ADS-B data program seen listening on port 30005 for 191 seconds, next check in 60s
[2019-06-12 15:11 CEST] 0 msgs recv’d from dump1090 (0 in last 5m); 0 msgs sent to FlightAware
[2019-06-12 15:11 CEST] no ADS-B data program is serving on port 30005, not starting multilateration client yet
[2019-06-12 15:11 CEST] no ADS-B data program seen listening on port 30005 for 251 seconds, next check in 60s

Sending Data to FR24 is working from the beginning of installation.
Planefinder and Flightaware are running, but no Aircrafts were shown.
In FR24 config i found port 30002 and after i changed it in planefinder config, i can see flights in planefinder as well.
Maybe i think to simple, but thats why i thought, i need to change the port in flightaware as well.

If you have a better idea, i´m happy to hear.

I don’t even know what exactly you installed.

If you installed fr24feed and didn’t properly change its configuration, it is now running its own outdated dump1090 version.

Just use dump1090-fa and configure fr24feed so it doesn’t do stupid things.

Oh and if you used the previous commands, you need to restart piaware for the configuration to take effect, didn’t mention that.

I changed dump1090 to dump109-fa and it is working now.

Great that your problem is solved.

Few questions out of curiosity:
What is OGN?
Which version of dump1090 you have originally installed?
There are many versions available, some are listed below:

  1. Antirez
  2. Malcolm Robb
  3. Mutability v 1.14 (stand-alone)
  4. Mutability v 1.14 (bundled with FR24 feeder)
  5. Mutability v 1.15~dev
  6. Flightaware
  7. Mutability version??, bundled with RadarBox24 feeder.

OGN=Open Glider Network

Basically a poor mans ADS-B for Gliders.

I used the bundle in the FR24 package

Thanks for info. Curiosity satsfied
