Cessna 414 Crash at KJST

(From WTAE Channel 4 Pittsburgh) "Authorities said a Cessna 400 plane crashed in Richland Township, Cambria County, Tuesday afternoon.

A coronor is at the scene crash at the Cambria County Airport.

April Pappagallo, who witnessed the crash, said the plane bounced off the runway before crashing and bursting into flames.

It is unknown how many people were on board the plane when it went down."

The plane was enroute from KMGW to KTEB when it diverted to KJST.

According to the FAA, the pilot of the plane said ice was forming and that she was going to try to land at the airport.

The first question in my mind is, “Did she get a weather briefing?” If so, “Was the ice in the forecast?”

Even if you fly the holiest of missions, the weather will STILL get you if you do not respect it!
