since Los angeles is the car chase capital of the world can you track news helicopter on this site can’t find the tail number for Air 7 hd choopper so i don’t know yet.

Helicopters tend to operate VFR (visual flight rules) and FlightAware generally only tracks IFR (instrument flight rules) flights. If it’s doing a car chase, it’s almost certainly VFR and the only flights you’d be able to pick up are repositioning operations in bad weather or something.
