Callsign independent tail number tracking?

I’m not sure if the FAA/ICAO requires airline flights to include the aircraft registration number in addition to their callsign as part of a flightplan, but if that is the case I’d really like the ability to track a specific aircraft as well as a flight number.

Case in point: JetBlue’s new E190, which IIRC is still doing proving runs, doesn’t have regular flight numbers assigned yet (uses 6xxx codes) but is flying all over. I’d love to be able to follow it around on FlightAware.

You are correct; they are not included in the flight plans although we’re working on alternatives.

As far as JBU’s E190, here are those recent flights:
