All test flights scheduled for the Commemorative Air Force’s B-29 Superfortress FIFI, on June 29 and 30, have been postponed until further notice.
Does the FAA have to physically deliver the new certifacate or actually inspect the aircraft before it can fly?
A suitably experienced (*) FAA inspector has to give his/her imprimatur after inspecting and possibly flying the aircraft.
- The definition of “suitably experienced” is left up to the administrator of the FAA.
Thanks!
