British Airways flight absence

Hello,

where is BA Flight 179 from LHR to JFK? It looks like this flight doesn’t exist anymore since 08/09/2009. I searched some flight booking sites and I saw BA179 is going to be back on 09/06/2009. Now I’d like to know what could be the reason for this absence? :slight_smile:

It’s not uncommon for an airline to discontinue a fight and then resume it later.
