I’m an avid flight simmer so I’ll often scroll around FlightAware in search of flights to recreate on my computer, I was doing that this afternoon I noticed a very odd series of flights! British Airways has flown three 787s and two 777s from London Heathrow to Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina, within the last week. This definitely is not a normal airline service, I honestly didn’t know you could land either of those aircraft at GSP until today. Does anyone know what’s going on? Flights have all flown under BAW3582.
It’s a FedEx hub, so yes, it can take bigger planes.
Maybe vaccines?
Maybe, I hadn’t thought about that; but if they’re going to a FedEx hub why not put them on dedicated cargo aircraft through FedEx or someone else?
Perhaps an aircraft shortage.
I don’t think aircraft shortage through FedEx or other cargo planes, less likely the reason, if BAW is carrying Vaccine (big IF?), Vaccines made in UK, they are most likely to use their own airline!?..for too many logistical and cost reasons!, or perhaps other reasons who knows??. However, US has enough Vaccines, variety of it already!?.. why are they getting vaccines from UK?.
