Atlas Air 2032 Diversion to LAX on August 26, 2012

Atlas Air 2032, B744 N464MC, from Kaneohe Bay MCAS, HA to Riverside, CA, was diverted to KLAX after circling over Bakersfield, CA, for about an hour. The original aircraft still continued on to its original destination. Why was it diverted? Any info would be appreciated.

Looks like the fog rolled in for a couple of hours that morning. Both the 0655 and 0755 local time weather shows RIV below landing minimums.
