I saw on TV while at the gym this morning that the newly inaugurated ANA flight between San Jose, CA and Tokyo has been cancelled until at least mid-February. That route had been announced with great fanfare and was using a Dreamliner. Apparently, ANA has decided to completely cancel this particular flight rather than substitute alternative aircraft. They’ll shuttle passengers to either San Francisco or Los Angeles for ANA flights operating out of those two airports. Such a shame for people who booked with the anticipation of getting directly from Silicon Valley to Tokyo on a brand new plane.
