American Idol Top 3 Fly Home

In case anyone cares, here’s the Gulfstream that took Adam Lambert to San Diego, then Kris Allen to Little Rock, and finally Danny Gokey to Milwaukee for their “homecoming” trips. I’m kind of surprised that they put them all on the same plane.

LIT-MKE: flightaware.com/live/flight/N81R … /KLIT/KMKE

I noticed the aircraft spent roughly 40 minutes on the ground at LIT and SAN (plus whatever time it took between the FBO and the runway). Is this the normal turn time for a G2 or, as I suspect, did they do photo ops at each airport?

How cheap! They couldn’t charter a G-IV for the #1 rated TV show?

Yeah, a bit dated, but holy heck, I’d go in it.

Now that’s fugly!

It has the hush kit and from what I understand the tip tanks cause more drag then they’re worth. I guess the drag they create negate the extra fuel you can carry

Looked at that a/c at the NBAA in '00. I’ll never forget that interior…fugly…

Porterjet flys a tip tanker…

Here we go! :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe so, but it beats the crap out of the number four contestants ride home. :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL - true dat.

And they are almost back to VNY. They must be making the freak walk back from San Diego, punishment for butchering Ring of Fire.

Blame that one on the economy?

In the past I know they have used Marquis Jets/Netjets Gulfstreams.
