Alerts - Time Zone Dates

Folks,

I am flying from San Diego on Sunday 04/15/2018 at 8:45PM Pacific Time heading for Heathrow, UK, this is of course 4:45am 04/16/2018 in UK.

Does my alert need to show Sunday’s date or Monday’s? - I understand the time zone but setting an alert when the actual day is different at time of departure is confusing.

The alert would need to be configured for the day of departure for the departure airport.

Thank you. Guessed that to be so but as I understand Flightaware uses UTC times I wasn’t quite sure.
