I tried to book a medium sized group (34) from ATL to LGA this morning for late April and they wouldn’t do it. They also told me Southwest is not yet set up to take group bookings and will not likely be able to book any groups between around April 8 and May 15. WTH??
They’re going to lose business to DL. Then again, they’re going to give a DL a run for its money once Southwest fully absorbs AirTran. I’m hoping for some $49 or $59 fares from ATL to MDW, BWI, MSY, etc.
Are you looking strictly for group fares or have you checked both group fares and single seat fares? It is sometimes possible to get a group for part of a group and individual fares for the rest of the group and end up saving money.
