No links – just based on experience and intuition.
I agree w/ #s 1& 3, but I’d have to guess that ATL, ORD, and perhaps DFW would have more domestic destinations than LGA, especially considering LGA’s “1500 mile” rule. Like you, I’m just going off of personal experience, with a little bit of inference based on the things that I do know (Believe it or not, there are a few of them 
) about the hub & spoke system and the airlines that operate from these airports.
The reason I like LGA over ATL, ORD, and DFW is geography. The super-populated northeast has tons of airports that the little air taxi operators fly to out of LGA. DFW (my neck of the woods) can’t compare. Head west to El Paso. From LGA, you could hit Chicago in about the same distance. How many airport cities are between DFW and ELP? Roughly 12. How many airport cities are between LGA and ORD? About 80.
You gotta consider population density. The northeast takes the prize. Remember, the question is destinations! I vote for LGA.

The distance between DFW and ELP is about 180 less than that between LGA and ORD.
Even with the shorter distance in mind, there are a helluva lot more than 12 airports between DFW and ELP.
THe original question said most destinations. It did not say “most destination seved by a Part 121 carrier” so, with that in mind, here’s a a partial listing of airports within 150 miles of MAF (roughly halfway between ELP and ORD) that have both a runway that is at least 5,000 feet long plus the avaiability of jet fuel. Several are served by part 121 carriers; all are served by air taxis such as NetJets. This list doesn’ even include the many airports that have codes that contan letters and numbers:
