Looking at this flight number:

[flightaware.com/live/flight/TSU1 … /KLRD/KGSP](http://flightaware.com/live/flight/TSU141/history/20070324/2324Z/KLRD/KGSP)

It comes up as CVLT for aircraft, which we use for our Convairs.

However, it says Canadair 66.

It was saying C-131, which what it really is, trips ago. But now it changed to Canadair even AFTER the trips had been completed.

Why do all the CVLT’s come up now as Canadair 66’s? ☹

Every flight (historical or current) will display what we currently have in our database for the aircraft type code. Many aircraft type codes have several options for their full name, so we try to pick the one that matches most of the fleet (based on a guess or advice from a user).

For CVLT I found the following options:

```auto
 CVLT | Canadair | CL-66
 CVLT | Canadair | CC-109 Cosmopolitan
 CVLT | Canadair | CV-580
 CVLT | Canadair | Cosmopolitan
 CVLT | KELOWNA | CV-5800
 CVLT | CONVAIR | CV-640
 CVLT | CONVAIR | CV-600
 CVLT | CONVAIR | CV-580
 CVLT | CONVAIR | C-131H
```

We’d appreciate it if you could provide some guidance as to which is the most common aircraft using that type code.

We use Convair 580’s.

So the best, when we file CVLT, is to show:

CVLT | CONVAIR | CV-580

We do also operate Convair 5800’s, so those would be:

CVLT | KELOWNA | CV-5800

But, in this case, history in filing has always shown both the 580 and 5800 as:

CVLT | CONVAIR | C-131H

We can only use one name for the fleet of CVLTs, so what I’m looking for is a guess at which of the various subtypes is the most common fleet-wide.

Fair enough 😃

I would stick with:

CVLT | CONVAIR | C-131H
