# aircrafttype

Quick question… Any reason why the API doesn’t show the aircraft class?

For example, [DAL61](http://flightaware.com/live/flight/DAL61) is usually a B763/ **Q** aircraft, but when calling the API, it only returns B763 for the aircrafttype.

I’m sure it’s not a bug, just curious why drop that part off of it’s clearly already in the database? 🙂

The FlightXML structures don’t include the aircraft prefix or suffix (aka equipment code).
