Aircraft data change

when you look up N7ht flight it tells you on the screen that it is a King Air 200. It actualy is a Twin Comanche B. The owners name is right but the type is wrong

Thanks

FlightAware gets its data straight from the FAA. If the flight is filed as a BE20 or if the controllers enters BE20 on the flight strip, there’s not much FlightAware can do about it.

If you use the search function above, you can find other postings on this subject.

In addition to the issue damiross mentioned (i.e. we only repeat what the FAA tells us), three digit tail numbers often get keyed in as truncated versions of longer tail numbers with the same suffix. For example, N17HT or N237HT may be a King Air that flew that flight, but the controller only typed in the last 3 digits.
