Air Force One in Atlanta

Does anybody know any of the details. The AJC said that the White House is pretty vague about the details. I’d love to see AF1. I looked for the press plane, but it hasn’t filed a flight plan as of yet.

Will the press plane land at the same airport as AF1?

Thanks, guys!

Last time to Atlanta he landed at Dobbins.

Normally, the press plane will land at the same airport but there is not always a separate plane for the press.

I looked at Andrews for possible press charters but didn’t see anything.

Maybe try calling WSB radio, I’m sure they know where and when he is coming in.

Looks like Dobbins this time too.

The press may have flow to ATL: flightaware.com/live/flight/TRS8 … /KADW/KATL

Do you mean Warren-Robins AFB (KWRB)? I looked up Dobbins, got a code (KNCQ) but got an “unknown” code when I tried to look it up. Is NCQ possibly co-located with WRB?

I imagine the earlier reference would be to KMGE (Dobbins AFB) in Marietta, GA.

That makes sense.

It looks like there may be a problem with the location identifiers when using the “don’t know the airport code” link. Typing in Dobbins yields “Dobbins Arb (KNCQ)” which is an invalid code.

The FAA Locations publication decode section shows the following for code MGE:

MARIETTA, GA, DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE (ATLANTA NAS) ARPT MCN
DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE (ATLANTA NAS) BASE OPS MGE

The 3 letter code after each base above is the tie-in facility.

Typing in MGE into the airport box code does give Dobbins.
