AA Cancels all MD80 flights today!

I had a 1:00 depature from Dfw on md-80 to Gso today it was a hour late leaving but it wasn’t canceled?

They worked pretty quickly to get everything back up and operational. I’m rather suprised. We were hardly affected.

I was told several times by passengers flying in that I should find a new job. “The media is all over the place and people are about to riot in Vegas”. People really do react oddly to things like this.

You mean like the way the FAA reacted oddly when things like a Congressional panel said that the FAA was too close to the airlines. This whole thing was a grand example of political posturing by the FAA that caused major inconvenience for passengers over something that was not a major acute safety issue.

Essentially the FAA is going overboard because they have egg on their face now.

Something CAflier and others agree on. The only safety problem here is that the paperwork is unsafe.
