Cop: “…to preserve the integrity of the crime scene”? Wow - is he trying to sound relevant?

Plane is reported to be a PA-23-150/160 Apache
Law enforcement is taught to treat plane crash sites as they would crime scenes - meaning “Don’t touch anything (except to save human life)”, don’t let anyone else touch anything and preserve all evidence until detectives (NTSB) arrives to investigate.
So, in a cop’s mind, a plane crash site is a “crime scene”.
